Apr 16, 2014· When we called the dealership they said it was caused by undersized axles. When we looked at the weight sticker on the trailer it said dry weight was 6,920lbs and we had two axles that each held 3500lbs. Which equals to 7,000lbs. We only had 80lbs till it was maxed and that is dry weight which means without the water full and luggage!

RV.Net Open Roads Forum: Fifth-Wheels: Axles weight vs. GVWR?

Apr 04, 2012· The axles are responsible for the weight they carry that is GVW - pin weight. The Pin weight goes to the TV rear axle all except 50-70# which will go to the front axle of the TV. 6000# axles doesnt sound sufficient. I would wager big $$$ that a 36' rig will have a higher dry pin weight than 1825#.

Axle Weight Question | Toyota Tundra Forums

Apr 08, 2014· I have a question regarding a 5th wheel hitch weight. Does the entire hitch weight end up on the rear axle or does some of it get distributed to the front axle? For instance, my rear axle weighted 2700# so if I put a 1300# 5th wheel hitch in the back, does that mean my rear axle weight will be 4000# or will it actually be less?
